Recall 22V592000 · manufacturer campaign 22E047

Steering — Orange Ev · reported 8 Aug 2022 · 3 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Orange EV is recalling certain 2021-2022 T-Series Pure Electric Terminal Truck and e-Triever vehicles. The steering gears may have been incorrectly assembled, which can cause the gears to fracture.

The risk

A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Orange EV will inspect and replace the steering gears, as necessary, free of charge. All affected vehicles were repaired by September 15, 2022. Owners may contact Orange's customer service at 1-785-214-1072. Orange's number for this recall is 22E047.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
