Recall 22V602000

Steering — Crane, Crane Carrier · reported 8 Aug 2022 · 391 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Crane Carrier Company (Crane Carrier) is recalling certain 2021-2022 LET2 and LNT vehicles. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gears to fracture.

The risk

A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and replace the steering gears, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 1, 2022. Owners may contact Crane Carrier's customer service at 330-308-6700.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
