Equipment › Other › Labels — Forest River · reported 26 Aug 2022 · 6 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023 Rockwood and Flagstaff fifth wheels. The Federal Placard states an axle rating of 5,200 lbs, when the correct axle rating is 5,000 lbs.

The risk

An incorrect axle rating can result in the vehicle being overloaded, causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will replace the Federal Placards, free of charge. Dealers were notified August 26, 2022. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-8943. Forest River's number for this recall is 10-1549.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
