Wheels › Lugs/nuts/bolts/studs — Tiffin · reported 29 Aug 2022 · 9 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Wayfarer (Wayfarer) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Tiffin Wayfarer motorhomes. During the recall repair for recall number 21V-514, the wheel lug nuts may not have been properly tightened, which can cause the wheels to come loose.

The risk

A loose wheel can detach, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will check the lugs, and tighten to specification, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 28, 2022. Owners may contact Wayfarer customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Wayfarer's number for this recall is WAY-104.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
