Recall 22V653000 · manufacturer campaign 2022-05
Seats › Critical Fasteners — Roadtrek · reported 29 Aug 2022 · 36 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Roadtrek Inc. (Roadtrek) is recalling certain 2022 Zion, Zion SRT, Chase and Zion Slumber motorhomes. The front seat mounting bolts may be improperly tightened. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) No. 207, "Seating Systems."
The risk
A seat with a loose mounting bolt may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Dealers will inspect the bolts, and tighten if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 7, 2022. Owners may contact Roadtrek customer service at 1-888-762-3873. Roadtrek's number for this recall is 2022-05.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
