What's wrong

Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2023 IC CE vehicles. The fuel vapor line without the heat shield tubing may have been installed, exposing the line to heat from the exhaust system.

The risk

Heat exposure may cause the line to leak, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

Dealers will replace the fuel vapor line with heat shield tubing, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 20, 2023. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 22526.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
