Suspension › Front › Macpherson Strut — Audi · reported 14 Dec 2022 · 96 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022 Audi E-Tron GT vehicles. A retaining ring on top of the suspension strut may come loose, resulting air loss from the strut spring.

The risk

An air suspension strut failure may cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will inspect the suspension strut and replace it, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 10, 2023. Owners may contact Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 42M4.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
