What's wrong

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova) is recalling certain 2022 LFS transit buses. During assembly, the power steering hose may not have been assembled correctly, which can result in hose detachment and a loss of power steering assist.

The risk

Sudden loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

Nova Bus will inspect and replace the power steering hoses, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 6, 2023. Owners may contact Nova customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova's numbers for this recall are CR5374 and CR5375.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
