Recall 23V107000 · manufacturer campaign 2023-001

Equipment › Appliance › Oven/stove/cooktop — Safari Condo · reported 21 Feb 2023 · 331 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Par Nado Inc (Par Nado) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Alto R1713, R1723, F1743, F2114, A2124, and F2414 travel trailers equipped with certain SDS2 2-burner drop-in cooktops. The internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves may fracture and cause a gas leak.

The risk

A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

The fix

Dealers will inspect the burner tubes, and repair, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 23, 2023. Owners may contact Par Nado customer service at 1-418-426-3666. Par Nado's number for this recall is 2023-001.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
