Recall 23V140000 · manufacturer campaign 173

Exterior Lighting — Itasca, Winnebago · reported 2 Mar 2023 · 22 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2023 Adventurer, Vista and Itasca Sunstar motorhomes. The motorhomes may be missing the rear reflectors. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The risk

Missing reflectors reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will install the reflectors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2023. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 173

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
