Recall 23V239000 · manufacturer campaign CR5397

Exterior Lighting › Tail Lights — Nova Bus · reported 4 Apr 2023 · 10 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2022 LFS vehicles. The taillights may fail to illuminate when the headlights are activated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The risk

Taillights that fail to illuminate may reduce the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Nova Bus will update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 24, 2023. Owners may contact Nova customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova's number for this recall is CR5397.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
