Recall 23V321000

Equipment › Appliance › Oven/stove/cooktop — Cimarron, Elite · reported 4 May 2023 · 5 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Outback Customs, LLC (Outback) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Cimarron, and 2018-2020 Elite horse trailers, equipped with certain 3 burner cooking stoves, with part numbers S31, R1731 and R2131. The saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the O-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak.

The risk

A gas leak can increase the risk of a fire.

The fix

Dealers will install a remedy kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 18, 2023. Owners may contact Outback customer service at 1-405-745-6666.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
