Recall 23V461000

Electronic Stability Control (esc) — Mobility Ventures · reported 30 Jun 2023 · 525 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Mobility Ventures, LLC (Mobility Ventures) is recalling certain 2015-2016 MV1 vehicles. The ESC malfunction indicator warning light may not illuminate to indicate an issue with the Electronic Stability Control System. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems."

The risk

An ESC malfunction indicator light that fails to illuminate during an electronic stability control event can increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will update the electronic brake control module (EBCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 28, 2023. Owners may contact Mobility Ventures customer service at 1-877-681-3678.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
