Recall 23V561000 · manufacturer campaign PG5215
Fuel System, Gasoline › Delivery › Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings — Explorer Van Company · reported 8 Aug 2023 · 8 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Explorer Van Company (Explorer) is recalling certain 2020-2022 upfitted GMC Savana and 2020 upfitted Ford Transit vans, equipped with certain Onan QG 2800i generator sets. The fuel hose between the fuel filter and Injection Pump Module (IPM) may not be properly secured, which can cause a gas leak.
The risk
A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of fire.
The fix
Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel hose and clamps as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 8, 2023. Owners may contact Explorer customer service at 1-574-267-7666. Explorer's number for this recall is PG5215.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
