What's wrong
Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 MD6 and MD7 vehicles. The steering gear fasteners may not be properly tightened.
The risk
Loose steering gear fasteners may result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will tighten the steering gear fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 23, 2023. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0449.
