Recall 23V606000 · manufacturer campaign 23-103-PUC

Seats — Micro Bird · reported 30 Aug 2023 · 6 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2018-2019 and 2021 G5 transit buses. The seats located over the fuel filler and equipped with seat belts may detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

The risk

Seats that detach may not adequately restrain an occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

The fix

Dealers will repair the seats, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 5, 2023. Owners may contact Micro Bird customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 23-103-PUC.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
