Recall 23V693000

Steering › Linkages › Tie Rod Assembly — Arcimoto · reported 13 Oct 2023 · 94 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Arcimoto Inc. (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2023 FUV and MUV hybrid electric motorcycles. There may be insufficient thread engagement between the inner and outer tie rods, possibly resulting in the separation of the tie rod assembly.

The risk

Tie rod separation can cause a sudden loss of steering control and increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

Arcimoto will inspect and adjust the tie rods, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 30, 2023. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
