Recall 23V811000

Power Train › Driveline › Driveshaft — Eldorado · reported 4 Dec 2023 · 443 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Eldorado National-California, Inc (Eldorado National-California) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Axess and EZR vehicles. The transmission yoke may separate, resulting in driveshaft separation and a sudden loss of drive power.

The risk

A sudden loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a disabled bus may require an evacuation procedure in an uncontrolled traffic situation, increasing the risk of injury to passengers.

The fix

Eldorado National-California will work with the equipment manufacturer, Allison Transmission Inc., to inspect, and if necessary, tighten loose transmission yoke bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 08, 2024. Owners may contact Eldorado National-California customer service at 1-951-684-6868.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
