Recall 23V828000
Electrical System › Wiring — Ineos · reported 7 Dec 2023 · 727 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Ineos Automotive Americas, LLC (Ineos) is recalling certain 2024 Grenadier vehicles equipped with the auxiliary switch package relay. The relay control wire may have been trapped under the relay power cable connection fastener during assembly, which can potentially damage the relay control wire insulation and result in a short.
The risk
A short circuit increases the risk of fire.
The fix
Dealers will inspect and secure the wiring, and repair or replace any damaged wiring as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 25, 2024. Owners may contact Ineos customer service at 1-919-296-3626.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
