What's wrong
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2024 GLE350, GLE450, AMG GLE53, and AMG GLE53 Coupe vehicles. The accelerator pedal module bracket may have been improperly welded, which can result in the bracket breaking or detaching.
The risk
A broken or detached accelerator pedal can increase the risk of a crash or injury.
The fix
Dealers will drill through the spot welds and secure the bracket with rivets, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 5, 2024. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024030009.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
