Recall 24V226000 · manufacturer campaign 24S21

Tires — Ford · reported 22 Mar 2024 · 1,902 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Transit vehicles equipped with the Transit Trail package. The tires may contact the front wheel arch liner and body flange, causing damage to the tires.

The risk

Damaged tires may experience a sudden loss of air pressure or tread separation, causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will replace the tires, tire placard, and certification label, and also recalibrate the vehicle, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 26, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24S21.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
