Recall 24V257000

Equipment › Other › Labels — Airstream · reported 9 Apr 2024 · 172 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling certain 2024 Pottery Barn travel trailers. The rear axle weight on the Federal Certification label is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

The risk

An incorrect axle rating can lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Airstream will mail corrected labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 10, 2024. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111 ext. 7401 or 7411.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
