Recall 24V262000 · manufacturer campaign DC-2402

Exterior Lighting › Hazard Flashing Warning Lights › Switch — Autocar · reported 11 Apr 2024 · 398 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2020-2024 DC (Legend) vehicles. The hazard warning lights may not function independent of the ignition switch. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The risk

Warning lights that do not illuminate when the ignition switch is in the OFF position can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 6, 2024. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is DC-2402.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
