Recall 24V290000 · manufacturer campaign 43B

Electronic Stability Control (esc) — RAM · reported 25 Apr 2024 · 2 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021 Ram Promaster vehicles. An insecure ground connection may cause the electronic stability control (ESC) to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems."

The risk

Driving with an inoperative electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will tighten the ground nut assembly, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been remedied. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 43B.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
