Recall 24V335000 · manufacturer campaign F1000

Parking Brake — Freightliner · reported 14 May 2024 · 220 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Freightliner Business Class M2 vehicles. The rubber ball seal in the Intellipark Park Valve Modules (PVM) may fracture and cause a leak, which can result in park brake failure or unexpected park brake engagement while driving.

The risk

Park brake failure or unexpected park brake engagement while driving increases the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will replace the Intellipark PVM, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 2, 2024. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is F1000.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
