Parking Brake — Lion · reported 29 May 2024 · 43 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Lion Electric Company (Lion Electric) is recalling certain 2024-2025 LionC school buses. The parking brake may malfunction and allow the lever to be released without pressing the release button.
The risk
A parking brake that is released unexpectedly may result in a vehicle roll away, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
The fix
Lion Electric will provide inspection instructions to owners, and replace the parking brake levers as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 25, 2024. Owners may contact Lion Electric customer service at 1-855-546-6706. Lion Electric's number for this recall is R2024-01-009.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
