Recall 24V421000 · manufacturer campaign CR5605

Electrical System — Nova Bus · reported 7 Jun 2024 · 45 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2022-2023 LFS buses. The ground connection on the bus bar in the HVAC roof unit may not be secured properly, which can result in an unexpected engine shutdown or an overheated ground connection.

The risk

An unexpected engine shutdown increases the risk of a crash. An overheated ground connection can increase the risk of a fire.

The fix

Nova Bus will inspect and tighten the ground connection on the bus bar, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 24, 2024. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova Bus's number for this recall is CR5605.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
