⚠️ Do Not Drive advisory. NHTSA and the manufacturer advise owners of affected vehicles not to drive them until this recall is repaired.

What's wrong

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2025 VN trucks. The tie rod assemblies may contain an improperly heat-treated ball stud that can fail, resulting in a sudden loss of steering control.

The risk

A sudden loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

The fix

Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will inspect and replace the tie rod ends as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 18, 2024. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks customer service at 1-800-528-6586. Volvo Truck's number for this recall is RVXX2404.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
