What's wrong

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Forest River Salem, Wildwood, and Stealth EVO travel trailers. The Federal Placard may state an incorrect rim size. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

The risk

An incorrect rim size on the label may result in the wrong wheels being installed, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will install new Federal Placards, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 19, 2024. Owners may contact customer service at 1-503-831-5413. Forest River's number for this recall is 22-1808.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
