What's wrong
Elgin Sweeper Company, Inc. (Elgin Sweeper) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Broom Badger street sweepers. The fuel system may allow the tank to be overfilled, which can cause a fuel leak.
The risk
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of fire.
The fix
Dealers will repair the fuel tank, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 29, 2024. Owners may contact Elgin Sweeper Customer Service Department at 1-877-DIAL-ESG (1-877-342-5374). Elgin Sweeper's number for this recall is SB-0260.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
