Fuel System, Diesel › Delivery › Fuel Pump — Fccc, Freightliner, Western Star · reported 1 Oct 2024 · 620 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2025 Freightliner Cascadia, Western Star 49X, Freightliner Custom Chassis XCM and Freightliner Custom Chassis XCP vehicles equipped with certain Cummins fuel pumps. The fuel pump barrels may fracture and cause a fuel leak, which can result in an engine stall.
The risk
An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.
The fix
Cummins will replace the fuel pump barrels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 14, 2024. Owners may contact DTNA Customer Service at 1-800-745-8000. DTNA's number for this recall is F1010. Owners may also contact Cummins Customer Service at 812-377-5000.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
