What's wrong

Spartan Fire, LLC (Spartan) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Metro Star, FC-94, 2025 Gladiator, and KME Panther vehicles. A missing mechanical stop may allow the cab tilt cylinder to be overextended.

The risk

Overextension of the cab tilt cylinder can cause the cab to drop, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and replace the cylinder as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2024. Owners may contact Spartan customer service at 1-517-543-6400. Spartan's number for this recall is 24014.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
