Recall 24V808000
Seats › Critical Fasteners — Mercedes-benz · reported 25 Oct 2024 · 7 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2023 GLC 300 and GLC 300 4MATIC vehicles. The driver's and front passenger seat rail may have been incorrectly attached to the vehicle body.
The risk
An incorrectly attached seat may not properly restrain the driver during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Dealers will inspect the bolt connection and tighten the bolts between the driver and front passenger seat rail and the vehicle body, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 4, 2024. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
