Recall 24V810000 · manufacturer campaign RC 88
Power Train › Driveline › Driveshaft — Ferrari · reported 28 Oct 2024 · 4 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Ferrari North America, Inc (Ferrari) is recalling certain 2023 Portofino M, F8 Spider, and 2024 Roma Spider vehicles. The driveshaft screws may not have been tightened during production and may loosen.
The risk
Driveshaft screws that loosen may result in a loss of vehicle traction and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Owners are advised not to drive the vehicles. Dealers will verify the tightening of the driveshaft screws and, if necessary, perform the tightening process, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 13, 2024. Owners may contact Ferrari customer service at 1-201-816-2668. Ferrari's number for this recall is RC 88.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
