Recall 24V830000 · manufacturer campaign 24516
Power Train › Axle Hubs — International · reported 4 Nov 2024 · 74 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2024-2025 HX vehicles. An insufficient amount of lubricant in the front steer drive (FSD) axle hubs may result in damage to the wheel bearings.
The risk
Damaged bearings can cause the wheel to separate and result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will inspect the lubricant levels, and add lubricant or replace parts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 23, 2024. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 24516.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
