Structure › Critical Fasteners — Winnebago · reported 8 Nov 2024 · 1,211 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Winnebago Towable is recalling certain 2022 Micro Minnie FLX and Hike travel trailers. The mounting hardware may come loose, allowing the solar panel to detach.

The risk

A detached solar panel can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will install butyl adhesive tape between the solar panel and mounting bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 15, 2024. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5280 Ext. 5220. Winnebago's number for this recall is CAM0000040.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
