Structure › Frame And Members — Trail King · reported 18 Nov 2024 · 396 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Trail King Industries, Inc. (Trail King) is recalling certain 2020-2024 TKHT Hydraulic Tail trailers. The suspension assembly could flex the subframe beam, causing the beam to fatigue and crack.

The risk

A cracked subframe beam can cause the suspension to separate, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will install reinforcement supports and a larger reinforcement plate, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 25, 2024. Owners may contact Trail King customer service at 1-800-843-3324. Trail King's number for this recall is TK202402.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
