Engine And Engine Cooling › Cooling System — Nova Bus · reported 19 Nov 2024 · 758 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2023 LFS Artic and 2022-2024 LFS buses. The coolant sensor could send a false signal, causing the engine to shut down.

The risk

An unexpected engine shut down can increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, transferring passengers from the disabled bus can increase the risk of injury.

The fix

Nova Bus will inspect and replace the coolant sensor as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 20, 2025. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova Bus's number for this recall is CR5668.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
