Recall 24V905000 · manufacturer campaign 74B337
Wheels › Rim — Pierce · reported 2 Dec 2024 · 8 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Enforcer, Quantum, and Velocity fire trucks. The tires mounted on the front steer axles are incompatible with the wheels. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."
The risk
The tires can separate from the wheels, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Pierce will supply new front steer axle wheel/tire assemblies and updated tire information labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 23, 2024. Owners may contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
