Equipment Adaptive/mobility › Wheelchair Restraints/securement › Critical Fasteners — Nova Bus · reported 3 Dec 2024 · 24 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2022-2024 LFS buses. The wheelchair securement system may have been installed with the attachment points in the incorrect locations.

The risk

Incorrectly located attachment points may prevent the securement system from adequately restraining the occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

The fix

Nova Bus will reinstall securement system, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 28, 2025. Owners may contact Nova Bus at 1-866-870-2046. Nova Bus's number for this recall is CR5674.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
