Recall 24V923000 · manufacturer campaign 3A05
Fuel System, Gasoline › Delivery › Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings — Suzuki · reported 11 Dec 2024 · 556 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Suzuki Motor USA, LLC (Suzuki) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Burgman 400 (AN400AM3-M5) scooters. The fuel supply hose assembly may contact the fuel vapor hose assembly, causing the fuel supply hose to become damaged and leak fuel.
The risk
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of fire.
The fix
Owners are advised that if they must ride the scooter before the safety recall repair has been completed, they should check the scooter for fuel leakage and proper operation as outlined in the "Inspection before riding" checklist in the owner's manual. Dealers will replace the fuel supply hose assembly and fuel vapor hose assembly with new parts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 10, 2025. Owners may contact Suzuki customer service at 1-800-934-0934. Suzuki's number for this recall is 3A05.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
