Recall 24V928000 · manufacturer campaign NGDV_TSB_024
Back Over Prevention › Display Function — Oshkosh · reported 12 Dec 2024 · 144 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh) is recalling certain 2025 Defense NGDV ICE vehicles. The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The risk
A blank rearview camera display can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Oshkosh will replace the head units, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 20, 2024. Owners may contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-888-686-7278. Oshkosh's number for this recall is NGDV_TSB_024.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
