Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer › Lpg Systems › Tank Assembly — Forest River · reported 13 Dec 2024 · 116 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 RPOD RPT197 and RPT205 travel trailers. The propane tank tray may be missing the required number of fasteners, allowing the tanks to detach.
The risk
A detached tank can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Owners are advised to remove the tanks until the repair is performed. Dealers will install the correct number of fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 3, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-3119. Forest River's number for this recall is 80-1877.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
