Recall 25V070000

Seats › Critical Fasteners — Storyteller Overland · reported 7 Feb 2025 · 120 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller) is recalling certain 2024-2025 MODE XO vehicles. The seat assembly's floor mounting system may be improperly welded, which can cause the seat assembly to loosen or detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems."

The risk

A loose or detached seat assembly increases the risk of injury.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and replace the second-row seat mounting brackets and fasteners as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2025. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 1-888-999-7442.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to nhtsa.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
