What's wrong

Nikola Corporation (Nikola) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Tre FCEV trucks. The hydrogen tank mounting block bolts may be too long and damage the tank.

The risk

A damaged tank can leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

Nikola will inspect and replace the bolts, and replace the hydrogen tank as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 14, 2025. Owners may contact Nikola customer service at 1-630-808-4531. Nikola's number for this recall is 24VDC1101.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 888-275-9171) or go to nhtsa.gov.
