Recall 25V144000 · manufacturer campaign 91.10T25237A

Seats — Mercedes-benz · reported 5 Mar 2025 · 162 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Daimler Coaches North America (Daimler Coaches) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Mercedes Benz Tourrider Business and Premium transits buses. The fixate stop bracket on the driver's seat backrest may not be installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems," and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

The risk

Without a fixate stop bracket, the backrest may fold forward during a crash and increase the risk of injury.

The fix

Daimler Coaches will inspect the driver's seat and install a fixate stop as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 12, 2025. Owners may contact Daimler Coaches at 1-416-624-3558. Daimler Coaches number for this recall is 91.10T25237A.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1- 888-275-9171), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
