Recall 25V178000 · manufacturer campaign 25501

Service Brakes, Air › Disc › Caliper — International · reported 21 Mar 2025 · 153 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2024 HV, 2020-2025 MV, and 2019 Workstar 7400 trucks. The caliper may contact a suspension spring or axle U-bolt and prevent the outer brake pad from functioning.

The risk

A loss of outer brake pad function can extend the vehicle's stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will switch the left and right rear air disc brake calipers, replace the rear brake torque plates, and replace the brake pads, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 12, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25501.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 (TTY 888-275-9171) or go to nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
