Recall 25V190000 · manufacturer campaign 25-113-FUS

Seats › Critical Fasteners — Micro Bird · reported 26 Mar 2025 · 26 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2012, 2015-2019, and 2024 G5 school buses equipped with Type 2 seat belts. The seat reinforcement supports may not have been installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

The risk

An insufficiently retained seat can detach during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix

Dealers will install reinforcement supports, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 21, 2025. Owners may contact Micro Bird customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 25-113-FUS.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 (TTY 888-275-9171) or go to nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
