Recall 25V209000 · manufacturer campaign DC-2504

Service Brakes, Air › Supply › Reservoir/tank — Autocar · reported 3 Apr 2025 · 5 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2024 DC (Legend) vehicles. The air tanks have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

The risk

Insufficient air volume can reduce brake function, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and replace or add additional air tanks as necessary, free of charge. All vehicles were repaired by May 23, 2025. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is DC-2504.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-888-275-9171) or go to nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
