Seat Belts › Front › Anchorage — Mack · reported 6 Oct 2025 · 15,841 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Mack MD, 2019-2025 Anthem, Granite, 2024 MD Electric, and 2025 Pinnacle trucks equipped with a passenger bench seat. The seat belt anchorage bracket may be improperly welded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

The risk

An improperly welded seat belt anchorage bracket can detach during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix

Dealers will install a reinforcement plate, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 21, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0485. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 13, 2025.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
